Contributors to our documentary film series will be the very first to watch it. It may take up to 12 months after the episodes are completed until the finished series will be available via a streaming services (Netflix, etc.). Your tax deductible* contribution allows you to see the entire series before everyone else. We anticipate having episodes ready for donors to view late March 2017, but we can't finish without your financial support. Contributors of all levels will be acknowledged online and in film credits.
This independent film project is a labor of love and the culmination of decades of research. We have partnered with the Association for Childhood Education International, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and an early sponsor of this project. The ACEI was founded 125 years ago as the International Kindergarten Union, the original Froebel organization in the USA. They were responsible for assembling the Committee of Nineteen, a group of Froebelians who tried valiantly to broker a compromise between the old guard conservatives and the more progressive members. Today they are an active advocate for children worldwide.
The ACEI has taken on our film project as one of their initiatives to capture the oral history of long-time Early Childhood Education leaders and practitioners — an appropriate tie-in to their 125th Anniversary celebration in 2017.
